Ion Postolachi was born in the Republic of Moldova where he started his ballroom dance career at the early age of five. After many successful competitions, he was a finalist at the 2006 “World Championship in Standard Formation” held in Moscow. After that, he continued to be a finalist and winner at national and international competitions in Italy, Slovenia, Slovakia, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, France, Moldova, Russia and the Ukraine. At the age of 16, he moved to Romania where he started a successful new dance partnership. Representing Romania, he was a finalist at national championships and was selected to represent Romania at the “European Union Cup”. He attended DanceSport Institute and became a member of one of the most prestigious dance teams in Italy.
Ion graduated from high school with a specialty in sports education. He earned a Bachelors degree at Babes-Bolyai University of Cluj Napoca with a major in Physical Education and Sports, His education helped him discover new horizons in his dance career. While at the university, he successfully managed a dance studio. His students were winners and finalists at national competitions in Romania. In 2016, Ion and his wife emigrated to the United States. He continued teaching ballroom dancing and began participating in Pro-Amateur competitions with his students. He and his amateur partners have won medals at every competition they have attended.
Ion is founder and co-owner of the Gold Ballroom Dance Studio where he teaches and contributes to the development of the dance community in southern Delaware. He and his wife are professional dance partners and collaborate with some of the best coaches in the country.

Diana Postolachi is originally from the Republic of Moldova and has been always fascinated by dance. As a member of her school’s dance troupe, she performed at dance festivals in several dance styles, including modern and folk dance. At the age of 16, she moved to Romania and graduated from high school with a specialty in teaching. While in school, she joined a theater company and participated in televised events on locally famous shows. Following high school, she graduated from “Babes-Bolyai University of Cluj Napoca” with a major in Economics and Business Management. Her talents in acting and dance helped her to qualify in the final stages of the 2014 “Miss Moldova in Romania” competition. After she met her husband, she continued to develop dance skills. After emigrating to the United States together in 2016, she and her husband became professional dance partners. They work with top dance coaches and competing at the professional level.
Diana is the co-founder of Gold Ballroom Dance Studio, where she introduces dance into people lives and helps them to discover the many benefits of dance. She draws on her experience as a dancer to make learning for beginners, and more advanced students, a pleasant and beneficial process.

Mariana Arbuz – started her dance career at age of 6 in Republic of Moldova.
During these years she participated in many international ballroom dance competitions in Moldova, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Belorussia, Lithuania, Germany.
In 2018, she moved to United States and now she enjoys bringing her knowledge and experience of movement to all Gold Ballroom students, knowing how dance can change people’s lives in the most amazing ways. Welcome to the family
